Who doesn’t love looking at a beautiful stained glass window? Of course, not all windows are wonderful. Personally, I’m not nuts over some that are plastic overlays and the like. Yet, even those … God bless the intent, the content, and the effect they might have on an admiring and/or needy viewer.
I believe it was looking at the steeples (for my Steeple Project) that it occurred to me (duh) that looking “inside-out” has such value as well. May I repeat: duh!
And so, the Inside: Looking Out Project was conceived. As with the steeples, my effort is twofold: become a better artist and, more importantly, share the glory of these great structures.
Notes: most are:
- 8×10 beveled mat
- 4.5 x 6.5″ image area
- paper: typically, Arches Aquarelle watercolor paper, mould made in France, 140# cold press watercolor paper 100% pure cotton, acid-free
- paints: watercolor and graphite (various: Danial Smith, Van Gogh, Blick, etc.)
- archival mounting: mat, hinge tape, etc are all archival
- frames, if selected, are black wood
- Note: artist retains all and sole rights to images (I may, at some time in the future, create prints for sale. The purchaser and owner of the original cannot legally reproduce images of that original without written permission from the artist).
